Some of the kind words that our students have shared with us.
I am really having a lot of fun with the Autocad III material. It's great to work with solid models!
I am sending you now my assignment #1. The course is going just great.
That's all for now!
Best regards,
Julio Silva
I did receive your email and everything works great. Thank you for a quick response. I have done many courses in the past and I'm impressed with this course. The presentation and website support is wonderful. I am progressing better than expected and look forward to completing the fundamentals certificate. Again, thank you and I'm sure we'll be in touch in the future.
Regards,
Chris
How are you doing? I hope these assignments are worthy of your eyes, and that you've received them (press cupboard, hatching) Just wanted to let you know that videos and notes are great, and very useful!
Thanks, Stefan
Thanks for the lightning response time on the grades. You're a quick marker. I usually practice the drawings over and over, so I'll redo the drawings with the lineweights, font etc... and I'll get some more assignments to you soon!
I just wanted to say thanks as well for such a great course.
Regards,
Chris
The Distance Education works out great for me. The access to online help is unbelievable. In university, this amount of dedication did not exist.
My schedule makes it difficult to attend night school. Some weeks, I have absolutely no time for school and others I can dedicate the whole weekend to school (like this weekend). So, I wouldn't say I'm a keener... this could also be considered cramming ;-)
I will have Assignment #4 done shortly. Thanks for all your help!
Claudia
Wow, the DVD’s are amazing!
This course saves me soooo much work!
Thank you.
Craig
I'm doing great with the CADD Course, the assignments are well on their way, just the ones with a lot of curves and circles are a bit tricky but the videos with the assignment demonstrations really help.
Thanks again,
Elaine
Thanks a lot for a very enjoyable first course. The lectures on the cds are great. After watching them I realized I was doing a lot of things the long way. I am looking forward to learning and drawing more complicated stuff. Thanks for everything.
Regards,
Gustavo
Things are going well thank you. I am about to start the drawings for the third lesson. The CD tutorials are working great. You sound like you were well media trained... assuming that is you on the video. ;) Seriously though, I am very pleased with course.
Thanks,
John
This course was great! I can’t believe I did so well! Thanks for all the help. I’m looking forward to the second class - which I’ll have to register for next week (need a paycheck first!) “See” you then!
Kate
Thank you. I received the materials and am very happy with the video demonstrations on the DVDs. They are clear and easy to understand. I plan to finish this course certificate as soon as possible and I am looking forward to upgrading my skills with your help. Thank you and have a great day!
Best regards,
Bernard
Thanks for your response. I'm very happy with my mark. I enjoyed the class, I learned a lot of new things and I hope to be able to get my certificate soon.
Thanks for everything.
MALU
I enjoyed the first course so much, and the video lessons were very clear enabling quick learning. All these functions I didn't know existed. The latest and greatest being arraying carpet tile or ceiling grids. What a chore it was in the past....
Thanks for all the great tips.
Stephan
Thanks very much for the email and for allowing me to transfer to online/own pace learning. Attached, please find my first two assignments. I am not sure if they were marked when I was taking the classroom instruction, so I thought I should also submit them to you. I am finding the DVD instructions truly stellar. The lectures are very clear and complete. Due to this, I have gone back to the beginning of the course to ensure that I fully benefit from every lesson!
Best regards,
Ruth
Thanks for the tip; that fixed it. The crest drawing was challenging. When I was looking over the material before I started working on the lessons I couldn't imagine how that could be drawn from the info given. Now I know. Do you work all the time?
Brian
Thank you very much Kevin,
I shall strive for perfection! I will make all the adjustments as you prescribed on your earlier email and submit it back to you for review on Sunday. I appreciate your comments and your ongoing assistance.
Bryan
Thanks for sending me back the corrected drawing. I see now, what I was doing wrong. When I corrected the drawing and placed the whole viewport on the viewport layer, I obviously forgot to put the actual object (crest) back on the object layer. I‘ll take a little more time when reviewing my drawings before sending them to you. I finally have this concept understood with your help.
I really appreciate all the help you have given me.
Thanks again
John
I received the DVD package today. What a great way to have distance learning. I have taken two other distance courses. The first had lectures on tape with articles as supplementation. The second was a course in GIS and it was all on-line. … The videos are very helpful.
The third person in my office is leaving for another position and she takes half the AutoCAD skills with her. Therefore, there is a bit of urgency to my enrolling in this course. My architectural skills will be lacking but I’m sure I will still get what I need to out of this course. …
Thank you for your assistance. I am anxious to get started.
Sarah
Please find the attached assignments # 1 to 4 for your review. I take opportunity to thank you very much for the AutoCAD distance learning course. All lessons are very well organized and easy to understand. Really, it’s a great experience.
Thanking you.
Sincerely,
Surendrasinh
I apologize for starting the course so late after registering. I have completed lesson 1 with exercises so far. Video demonstrations and notes are great: easy to follow and thorough.
Thanks,
Stephen
Thanks for all your help in the course. I feel I learned a lot through the lessons and exercises. I intend to take further CADD courses late next spring.
I appreciate your generosity in the marks. You let me swing at some of the pitches at least twice, however, I did learn each time, which I think is the aim of the course.
CYa,
Bill Collins
Haha! Yeah, I can live with a 99%. This was a really helpful course, I learnt a lot. I want to go on for the Fundamentals Certificate but I think I'm going to hold off on the next course until next term. You're an awesome Prof! You should teach at my school! Haha ;P
Cya!
Elaine =)
Thanks for all your help. I found the course really good and easy to follow. I also attended an Autodesk 2007 3D Seminar for a variety of professions and the things you had taught me really helped a lot. I will be taking level 2 in the fall and I'm looking forward to seeing what's new.
Thanks again for all your help.
Mark
Hello, Hello, Hello,
Thank you very much for your support and advice. You're the one and only Kevin Brown.
I re-did the 2 day views "et voilà", I am very happy ;-)
Your feedback is highly appreciated as you know.
Have fun,
Alipio
I am glad that I was good student, I enjoyed the course and working with you
and having you as my teacher. You are an excellent teacher and I am definitely going to
continue with the next level. I would like to know when it is going to start and when I can register.
Thanks,
Zoran
I'm impressed with your Cad Skills and your very prompt responses. A friend had recommended this course to me (Claudia), and we work together. I am very glad I took it! :)
Thanks!
Thanks for the compliments. It was great having a prof that emails back so quickly and is so helpful. I wasn't sure if distance courses would be very efficient at the beginning. My plan was to take the first over the internet but to play the second one 'by ear'. I was impressed.
Thank you so much you've been wonderful.
I just thought I’d let you know I completed my first correctly setup drawing at work last week. We’re on job #170 since the birth of the company, and I’ve been doing the drafting here since job #30, so that makes 140 sets of drawings setup incorrectly. I was self-taught (an estimator by trade), so I used to draw everything in model space and setup a pile of title blocks at different sizes/scales and then copy the plans/layers required to the different title blocks around model space. I think one of the largest set of drawings had 30-35 pages of drawings, so there were that many title blocks around model space in that specific drawing. I knew at the time this was wrong, but was in a difficult situation of not being able to afford to lose time learning new ways at work.
Anyways, just thought I’d share the accomplishment! Thanks for setting up the distance education AutoCAD at George Brown.
I plan on registering in ACAD 2 today. I’m looking forward to learning more. I was worried when I enrolled in ACAD 1 that there wouldn’t be much to learn, other than proper layout and page setups. I have to admit, that in every class there was always something that I didn’t know.
It was great learning different ways of doing things.
Ray
Wow, that was fast! Thanks! J
I really appreciate the thorough feedback. Btw, that tip about SNAPBASE worked beautifully!
Very pleased with course...
Your disks are very good! I'm really enjoying them. This method of learning is really helpful as I am a mother with an infant son and am finding it easier to schedule my classes around my family commitments.
Has anyone ever told you that you ARE THE BEST?!! Thanks again!
Thanks Kevin....In my opinion, I'd have to say that it was money well spent. The CD's are well done, easy to use, I like that I can backtrack and repeat information that did not make it through my thick head. Thanks again.
I plan to resume with the level two course in the spring and in the meantime I will review the level one course again. I've enjoyed the program and think that you have done a fantastic job putting it together. The CD pack is excellent for reviewing material and makes it easy to progress, better than working from a book.
Thanks for the tip about the Dims - I see what you mean. Good eye, I didn't catch it.
Most of my Cad knowledge was self-taught, so I took your class as an opportunity to brush up and refine my Cad skills. I really enjoy the accessibility and flexibility of this online course. It complements well with what I'm learning at work.
