Architectural Desktop 1 - Residential Buildings CADE 9086

Topics include display configurations, styles and style management, basics of plan view creation with wall, window, door, and roof objects, stairs and railings, basic annotation, and sheet layout as well as symbol management for furniture, appliances, and fixtures. Students will generate floor, roof, and reflected ceiling plans, as well as basic elevations and 3D views of a two-story, 3000 square foot, residential building model. Technical Requirements:

  • A Windows-based personal computer with DVD drive and internet access. Any computer built within the last three years should meet the minimum hardware requirements. Advanced courses may have higher hardware requirements.
  • Access to a recent version of the appropriate Autodesk software (AutoCADArchitecture 2008 or Architectural Desktop 2007). George Brown College does not supply software for these courses, but bundles of student software are available through our partners. Select the student software link to browse the available bundles
