In this Introductory AutoCAD training course, students will learn how to set up, create, and edit 2D drawings. Concepts covered in this course include: drawing setup, all 2D drawing and editing tools, navigation techniques, layers and properties, text and dimensions, layouts and viewports, as well as basic plotting procedures. Students will master these concepts through the creation of a variety of 2D technical drawings.

$547.00 - includes 2 DVD set containing video demonstrations, lecture notes, and sample files as well as all course material, access to registered area of CAD web site and e-mail support from instructor.

Note: Free Autodesk software is made available to all students registered in an online CAD course.

Online courses are not constrained by semester dates. This is a continuous intake course that can be started on any day of the year.

Courses may be completed as quickly as the student desires within a four month period following the student registration date.

Technical Requirements:

  • A Windows-based computer with DVD drive and internet access. Any computer built within the last three years should meet the minimum hardware requirements. Advanced courses may have higher hardware requirements.
  • Mac computers can be used if they have a Windows operating system installed.
  • As a special bonus to our distance education students, a full range of current student software is available through our partners. A special link will be sent to students who register in an online CAD course providing access to Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD Architecture and more.
  • Note: Free Autodesk software is made available to all students registered in an online CAD course.
