In this Advanced AutoCAD training course, students will learn to create a variety of complex models in both Mechanical and Architectural disciplines.  New concepts include: 3D coordinate systems, 3D Navigation techniques, visualization tools, solid modeling tools, surface modeling tools, automatic 2D drawing creation and layout techniques, assembly modeling, and an introduction to rendering.

Fee

$547.00 - Includes 2 DVD set containing video lectures, lecture notes, and sample files as well as all course material, access to registered area of CAD web site and e-mail support from instructor.

Note: Free Autodesk software is made available to all students registered in an online CAD course.

Prerequisites

CADE 9073 or CADE 9083 (AutoCAD II - Advanced 2D)

Online courses are not constrained by semester dates. This is a continuous intake course that can be started on any day of the year.

Courses may be completed as quickly as the student desires within a four month period following the student registration date.

Technical Requirements:

  • A Windows-based computer with DVD drive and internet access. Any computer built within the last three years should meet the minimum hardware requirements. Advanced courses may have higher hardware requirements.
  • Mac computers can be used if they have a Windows operating system installed.
  • Access to a recent version of the appropriate software. As a special bonus to our distance education students, a full range of current student software is available through our partners. A special link will be sent to students who register in an online CAD course providing access to Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD Architecture and more.
  • Note: Free Autodesk software is made available to all students registered in an online CAD course.
