Flexibility - Take courses while working or meeting family commitments. Distance Education CAD courses can be started at any time of the year and may be completed in the time frame that is right for you.
Study and learn at any time of the day or night in the comfort of your own home. Never worry about missing, or being late for a class. Schedule your classes whenever it is convenient.
Learn at your own pace, going through the course material as slowly or quickly as you desire. The on campus courses are delivered in 16 classes of 3 1/2 hours each over a period of 8 weeks. The online CAD courses can be completed in less than 2 weeks or as long as four months.
Take established courses not offered at local schools or colleges in your area. The CADD courses that have been adapted for online study at George Brown College have been developed and refined since the early 1990's and have been delivered to over nine thousand students in Toronto.
Learn material on your own with computer-based video demonstrations that can be paused while you try a concept. Review difficult concepts as often as required.
Assignments for the online CAD courses may be submitted 2 or even 3 times. A "First Look" evaluation identifies any major errors, a "Pre-Evaluation" points out any remaining obstacles and the Final Evaluation records the grade for the assignment. This entire process can occur in a single day. In-house courses allow for a single submission per assignment with red-lined drawings being returned 1 week after the assignment evaluation has been recorded. Online students consistently score A+ grades and in many cases a perfect 100% for their final course evaluations.
