This online Revit training course covers advanced features of Revit Architecture including custom components, massing studies and conceptual design, curtain walls and curtain systems as well as advanced detailing and documentation techniques. This is the second course required to complete the requirements for the Revit Architecture Certificate.

Revit Architecture 1 - Residential Buildings CADE 9086

This advanced course will lead the user through the Family Editor where they will learn to create custom component families and work with parameters. Students will learn to work within the Conceptual Design Environment, creating massing studies and developing complex, formula driven masses to be used as the basis for actual building elements. Curtain wall systems and curtain walls will be studied in depth including the creation of custom curtain walls, nested walls, custom panels, and adaptive components. To finish the course, students will spend time learning to create and work with advanced view and annotation techniques to create Schedule Views, Legend Views, Custom Tags, and Keynotes.

CADE 9088 - Revit Architecture Level 1

This a continuous intake course that can be started at any time and on any day of the year. Courses may be completed as quickly as the student desires within a four month period following the student registration date.

Technical Requirements:

  • A Windows-based computer with DVD drive and internet access. Any computer built within the last three years should meet the minimum hardware requirements. Advanced courses may have higher hardware requirements.
  • Access to a recent version of the appropriate software. As a special bonus to our distance education students, a full range of current student software is available through our partners. A special link will be sent to students who register in an online CAD course providing access to Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD Architecture and more.
  • Note: Free Autodesk software is made available to all students registered in an online CAD course.
